Ahead of this weekend's MTN8 final, Cape Town City star Surprise Ralani has shared his delight at becoming the club's all-time leading goalscorer.
Last month, Ralani wrote his name into the Citizens' history books as he netted a brace during an MTN 8 semi-final win over Swallows FC, with his second goal seeing him overtake Kermit Erasmus as the club's leading goalscorer
The 34-year-old has now scored 18 times for the Cape Town outfit alongside providing 25 assists in 110 appearances since joining the club in 2018, in a highly impressive spell that will see him go down as a club legend.
"I'm honestly very humbled to have accomplished such a milestone in my Citizens career," Ralani tells snl24.com/kickoff following his record-breaking achievement.
"I'm looking forward to scoring more goals and also helping the team be greater than it already is. My aim is to set the bar very high so that whoever achieves this record in the future must work just as hard to get it."

Ralani will have the opportunity to extend that record this weekend when he and City go head to head against Sundowns in the MTN 8 final, and the veteran forward is hoping he can help his side bring home the silverware.
"The MTN8 final is going to be massive, especially against a team like Sundowns, so we are preparing well and obviously looking to bring the trophy home," Ralani added.
"They are never easy to beat but we've done it on many occasions so this time will be no different, we are going for the win."
