Cape Town City midfielder Mpho Makola could be in potentially hot water with the PSL following an unsavoury incident with a match official during the MTN8 final Saturday.
An infuriated Makola was captured on television footage showing a match official during his side's defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns after a dramatic penalty shootout.
Makola, alongside CT City goalkeeper Hugo Marques, was seen demonstrating with the assistant referee for failing to spot that Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper had encroached off of his goal line during the shootout.

The frustrated midfielder was then shown to shove the official in similar scenes to a November 2019 incident where Makola was charged with assault for pushing a referee.

Makola was initially banned for six months for showing referee Abongile Tom which was later reduced on appeal to four games.
The midfielder will now be left sweating after his similar conduct could see him receiving a harsher punishment by the league if charged.
Besides Makola, two other Cape Town City players, Nathan Fasika and Fagrie Lakay both received red cards during the MTN8 final with the trio set to miss the next league match when Cape Town City take on Chippa United at Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday.
