Mandla Ncikazi frustrated by current Orlando Pirates level of performances

Orlando Pirates co-coach, Mandla Ncikazi believes that the Soweto giants are not at the level they deserve to be in terms of stature in domestic football.

The Mighty Buccaneers are currently sitting in 6th position in the DStv Premiership standings with just 9 points after 6 rounds of matches so far this season.

"I think the mandate for the coaches at Pirates is to try and take Orlando Pirates back to where they belong," Ncikazi said.

"Pirates are not at the level where everyone expects them to be.

"If we say we belong in the top five positions, or within the top four, Pirates then have to show that in the way they play and get points.

"Currently I don't think we are reflecting that in our performances to the brand that we have.

"Just we have as a group, players and everybody being part of the team bring some positivity around the club in terms of how we play even if we lose matches but the perception should still be being proud of how the team performed.

"But currently and honestly I don't think we are at that level yet."
