Mamelodi Sundowns will be back in the same city where their last success in the top 8 happened hoping to finally end their long wait to add this silverware to their shiny cabinet.
While the 2007 SAA Supa8 final against Orlando Pirates was played at the ABSA Stadium (now known as the Jonsson Kings Park), Sundowns will now be a stone's throw away at the Moses Mabhida Stadium this Saturday.
Fourteen years have passed since that September 15, Saturday evening when The Brazilians won 1-0 courtesy of Brent Carelse's goal.

It was a final played just under a fortnight after the passing away of Gift Leremi – who was at Sundowns at the time following his move from Pirates.
snl24.com/kickoff looks at those fielded by Sundowns on that night and what happened afterwards:
Brian Baloyi – he stayed on at the club until he retired in 2011
Vuyo Mere – 'Smereza' is the only member of that squad still playing up to now with Swallows now his employers
Benson Mhlongo – moved on to Pirates at the end of that season and is now a coach at Black Leopards
Mbulelo Mabizela – 'Old John' had already made a mess of his career but played on until he disappeared five years ago
Oscar Ntwagae – moved on to SuperSport United a few months later and then Platinum Stars but sadly passed away just three years after that final
Josta Dladla – went on to play for Kaizer Chiefs and Moroka Swallows before he retired in 2016
Brent Carelse – the scorer of the winner in the final moved on to SuperSport at the end of that season and hung his boots five years ago
Esrom Nyandoro – only ever played for Sundowns in the PSL and is now employed as a club scout since he retired in 2015
Lerato Chabangu – sadly went from rags to riches and back to rags and is back home in Tembisa
Surprise Moriri – hung his boots four years ago and is now the club's MDC coach
Patrick Apataki – the Congolese forward left the club at the end of that season and is now retired
Subs:
Godfrey Sapula – he was already 35 and played on for another two seasons before he retired
Jorge Acuna – the Chilean returned home a year later and is now retired
Mike Manzini – he was already a veteran and retired two years later to take up a job within the club structures
