The past week marked a year since Pitso Mosimane departed Mamelodi Sundowns, with results since providing evidence of the Brazilians going from strength to strength.
A year ago, Mosimane surprisingly left Sundowns just two months shy of the eight-year mark at the club.

Mosimane's exit created concerns about The Brazilians continuing with their dominance of football in the same way they had done under Mosimane who won 11 trophies including the CAF Champions League and five league titles.

The voices of reservations were amplified when the club made an unfamiliar appointment with Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena as co-coaches joined by Steve Komphela in a position that was labelled as senior coach following his arrival from Golden Arrows.
However, a year later Sundowns have continued cruising on the fast lane in the same way that they did under Mosimane.
In the 54 games that have been played since Mosimane left the league title has remained at Chloorkop after Sundowns strolled their way to the title last term.

The one trophy that Mosimane didn't win for all his success at the club, the MTN8, might also be finally landing with The Brazilians through to the final to face Cape Town City.
For what counts the most in football, which is the results column, the trio of Mngqithi, Mokwena and Komphela has delivered.
From 54 games they have won 35 which counts as a 65% winning ratio which is an improvement from Mosimane's winning percentage through his time at the club which was just under 60%.
Mosimane had it rough in the beginning when taking over a disjointed Sundowns team in December 2012 which went on to finish down in position 10 but he fixed all the mess in the seven full seasons that he completed.
Mngqithi, Mokwena and Komphela have now watched 14 draws with just five defeats – the last of which was against Mosimane's Al Ahly in May in the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.
Last season they lost once in the league, which was against Kaizer Chiefs, with the other three defeats coming in a dead rubber Champions League tie against CR Belouizdad, Nedbank Cup semi-final penalty shootout against Marumo Gallants and last season's MTN8 opener against Bloemfontein Celtic.
The Brazilians are yet to lose in all competitions this season.
