Siwelele will take on Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday night in the TKO last-16 at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
"Yes, money is important in this business but the team comes first, supporters comes first and the badge comes first. If we focus on the badge then we'll know money is guaranteed, but we need it a lot.
"If you can take a look in our last two games including Macufe, we didn't play well or we had an average game, or at least the results didn't go our way. But we need it a lot, we hope to win this game and this cup for our supporters to have something to cheer about. I think the last cup they celebrated winning was in 2012 and it was the same cup you see
"To be honest I don't know what the management's financial position is but it will be a boost you see to get this money. So winning the R4m will be of great help. Money is important in this business but the team and the badge and the supporters must come first.
"We respect Sundowns a lot but we need to try to win the game. Yes, we are playing them twice in a short space of time but at least it gives us light on how they play.
"But [Downs] coach Pitso [Mosimane] is intelligent, he can easily change the way his team plays. He knows how to surprise and at least he's got players that can fit in any of approaches, regardless of which formation his players can adjust to."
The former Cape Town City man says he expects all the players that were rested in last weekend's Macufe Cup game against Kaizer Chiefs to come back energised.
"It's typical in professional clubs that when we have a friendly game, then after you have a competitive game, you must rest your regular players a bit. But also you must be cautious because it might break the momentum. But the guys are fresh and prepared to fight for the results that we have planned for."
