According to information gathered, influential players Mduduzi Mdantsane, Terrence Mashego and captain Thami Mkhize are said to have all returned to full match fitness in a boost to Eric Tinkler's side.

City will be aiming to lift their third cup trophy after having already captured the Telkom Knockout Cup (2016/17) as well as the MTN8 Cup (2018/19).

"All three players are ready to take on Sundowns, they are just waiting on the doctor to confirm today," A club source tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"But whether they will make the squad for Saturday will depend on how the coach feels."

Cape Town City could not be reached for comment on the current state of the three players.
