Just a day earlier, it seemed the Portugal star was set for a switch to United's rivals Manchester City.
However, after it was confirmed by Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri that Ronaldo had told him he wanted to leave on Thursday, United quickly stole in to get the deal done.
