With Giovanni Solinas recently acquiring a new job in Saudi Arabia, his next test will see him come up against a familiar foe in Pitso Mosimane.
Solinas, who was the first Italian head coach to work in the DStv Premiership when he took charge of now-defunct Free State Stars in 2015, rejoined Saudi Arabian First Division club Al Faisaly for the third time in March.

He previously held the managerial role at the Middle Eastern side for 10 matches in the 2013/14 season, before ending up there again in 2017 for another 10 fixtures, according to Transfermarkt.
With this being the head coach's first job in more than a year following his exit from CS Sfaxien in February 2022, he will be hoping to break his "curse" of losing his job with Al Faisaly after 10 matches.
Now two games into his latest tenure, Solinas has helped guide the club to fifth place, as things stand, following a 1-1 draw with Al Sahel and a 2-0 win over Al Arabi.
Al Faisaly thus remain unbeaten with their new manager at the helm, but Solinas will now lock horns with a familiar face this weekend in Mosimane, who is currently in charge of log leaders Al Ahli.
The South African tactician is the coach who handed the Italian his two biggest losses in the DStv Premiership during his stints with Free State Stars: a 5-2 hammering by Mamelodi Sundowns in May 2016 and a 4-1 defeat later that same year.
Solinas will thus be hoping to have the last laugh when they meet once again on Saturday.

With the race for promotion to the Saudi Pro League heating up, if Al Faisaly secure victory over Mosimane's side, they would close the gap on the log leaders to 13 points with a game in hand and nine matches still to play.
