Pogba 'offered' to UEFA Champions League club

With Paul Pogba now somewhat of a forgotten star, it is being reported that he has been offered to a club set to compete in next season's UEFA Champions League.

Pogba's career has been on hold since his suspension from football in September 2023 after testing positive for a banned substance.

He was subsequently handed a four-year ban in February 2024 after a second sample confirmed the original result.

The Frenchman immediately appealed the decision, arguing that he had not intentionally consumed the substance and that it had been recommended by a renowned American doctor.

In October 2024, his appeal was successful, and his doping ban was reduced to just 18 months.

As of March 2025, Pogba was declared eligible to return to action, but he has not found a new club since.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has been linked with a number of possible destinations in recent months, including moves to Brazil, the United States, and his native France.

Olympique Marseille was touted as a potential next move, but the midfielder’s wage demands were reportedly too high.

Now, according to Foot Mercato, Pogba has been offered to another French club — AS Monaco.

Monaco finished third in Ligue 1 this season, securing a place in next season’s Champions League.

The report adds that Monaco are exploring the free agent market, having recently signed Eric Dier on a free transfer and showing interest in Sergio Reguilón, whose contract with Tottenham Hotspur expires at the end of June.
