Man Utd players raging after Onana blunders

Manchester United players are now reportedly fuming at the way David De Gea's exit was handled following the blunders of new signing Andre Onana.

The Spaniard's 12-year reign as the Manchester club's number one came to an end in July when the side decided against extending his contract.

Onana, who previously worked under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, was brought in as De Gea's replacement but has thus far failed to make an impression on the Old Trafford faithful, following his blunders in the side's 4-3 loss to Bayern Munich.

Onana did, however, come out after the game to face the media and expressed his determination to "learn" from his errors as well as admitting that he has "a lot to prove".

The Cameroon international has conceded 14 goals in his first six appearances for the Red Devils.

The Sun reports that United players are therefore expressing their anger at the way De Gea's exit had been handled by the club. The Spain international was believed to be a well liked player in the dressing room.

He won the Premier League's Golden Glove award on two occasions, in 2018 and more recently at the end of last season when he kept 17 clean sheets to help the Red Devils to a third place finish.

With the campaign is still in its early stages, Onana has time to try and get out of De Gea's shadow and make the no. 1 spot his own. However, it will not be an easy task considering the side will face a tricky opponent in the form of Burnley on Saturday.
