Sundowns preparing to concede and sell Sirino

Attacker Gaston Sirino could seal a transfer to an unnamed Qatari side after Mamelodi Sundowns reportedly received a lucrative offer for the South American.

Sirino remains unsettled at Sundowns after handing in a transfer request to the club about three weeks ago.

"Sundowns are aware of the interest from the Middle East," a club insider tells KickOff.

" So far, we have not received any official offer. If the offer is right, the club will not stand in Sirino's way."

Head coach Rulani Mokwena confirmed that Sirino has handed in a transfer request.

"It's very difficult. I have to manage the group dynamic carefully because it affects not only the team performance but also how your teammates perceive you," Mokwena told PowerFM.

"Because you are very important, one of the best players in the squad and how the supporters perceive you because they love you.

"But of course, there is an understanding that no one is greater than the team.

"When you accept that you are part of the team then you must accept that you have to behave in a certain way that shows respect not only to the club, because you have got a contract, and this is a club that has honoured the contract and paid you on time.

"This club has matched its side of the contract and as a player, you have an obligation to deliver your side of the contract."

Gift Motupa is another player who remains unsettled at Chloorkop and is expected to leave the club imminently.
