Head coach Zinedine Zidane is on course to re-write the history books with a potential third successive title in only his third season in first-team professional football.
The legendary midfielder already made history becoming the first coach to defend the European crown in the modern Champions League era and despite their struggles in LaLiga, Los Blancos remain clear favourites.
And former France midfielder Christian Karembeu, who played alongside Zidane in the 1998 World Cup final and won the biggest honour in European club competitions twice with Los Blancos - had his say on this season's chances.
"Only Real can win it [the Champions League], that's it. In Kiev, who's going to play against Real, this I don't know. Real will be in Kiev, however, yes.
"He [Zidane] was an amazing player and he will become an amazing coach," he added. "He's doing it already."
Real face Juventus in the quarter-final stage of the competition, in a repeat of the 2016/17 final.
