After Sadio Mane's first-half striker, the Brendon Rodgers' side's equaliser from James Maddison, seemigly earned the visitors a crucial point in their persuit of a top-four finish this season.
But Sadio Mane was adjudged to have been fouled in the dying seconds after the game, as James Milner converted the stoppage-time spot kick.
While tempers flared over the controversial decision confirmed by VAR, a scuffle erupted between the two sets of players at the full-time whistle.
Footage of Milner's penalty taken from a fan in the stand behind the goal shows Adam Lallana grabbing the ball, kicking out at Kasper Schmeichel and then getting roughed up by a couple of the Leicester players.
And it seems the animosity carried through to the rest of the squad when Perez and Robertson had a coming together at the full-time whistle - which can be seen in the video below.
Robertson's dig and celebrations tipped Perez over the edge, which Reds boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed in his post-match interview.
