Jurgen Klopp slams Burnley's 'wrestling' tactics

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was not impressed with Burnley's physical approach against his side on Saturday.

The Reds maintained their winning start to the Premier League season with a 2-0 win over Sean Dyche's side at Anfield.

While Liverpool did manage to get maximum points on the day, the German tactician took issue with the Clarets' physicality and says players need to be protetced.

"Watch wrestling if you like that kind of thing," Klopp said after the game, according to the Mirror.

"We have to stick to protecting the players. I like all decisions in favour of the offensive team, like offside.

"There's one message, 'Let the game flow'. Nobody knows exactly what it means.

"I am not 100 per cent sure if we are going in the right direction with this. It feels like we are going 10-15 years back. It is too dangerous.

"But in the end we won and nobody got injured."
