Milano United manager Sean Ferrier downplays sale talk

Ferrier's confirmation comes after rumours surfaced that Milano owner Nasief Brenner intended to sell the team's second-tier franchise to potential buyers in Johannesburg.

According to Ferrier, the possibility of selling remains an option but there have been no “serious” and “concrete” bids to date for the Cape Town-based outfit.

“I can confirm that there’s been a few changes with regards to our technical team,” Ferrier tells snl24.com/kickoff. “We roped in Dougie Williams as our new head coach with his predecessor, Gamat Appels taking up the technical director post at the club.

“Williams will be assisted by Anees Bassadien for the upcoming season. We feel that Williams knows and understands the culture of the club as he’s worked with most the young players.

“We feel these players are our future and hopefully Williams can bring the best out of them for the upcoming season.”

Milano's neighbours FC Cape Town recently sold their NFD status to Ubuntu Cape Town.
