The New Zealand international has enjoyed another impressive season in the colours of Matsatsantsa, netting 15 times in 29 starts in all competitions.
While Matthews earlier told snl24.com/kickoff that the 29-year-old "is not for sale", speaking at the club's media day ahead of Saturday's Nedbank Cup final, Brockie hinted that he would be weighing up a possible move after the all-important clash against Orlando Pirates at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
"I'm just concentrating on the Nedbank Cup at the moment and just, hopefully, retaining the trophy, and we'll see what happens after that," Brockie told reporters.
Having been linked with clubs such as reigning CAF Champions League champions and Tshwane rivals Mamelodi Sundowns, as well as Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, Brockie is flattered by the interest but insists his focus for now is on helping SuperSport retain their cup crown.
"It's nice. I think when I first came to the country, people sort of were saying, 'What's a guy from New Zealand doing playing football?' he joked.
"To go from that to having interest in me over the last couple of years is nice, and it's also nice being linked to the so-called 'big clubs' in South Africa.
"But, like I said, I'll concentrate on the Nedbank Cup this week and then we'll see."
Since arriving in the PSL, from Australian A-League side Welington Phoenix, in January 2015, Brockie has managed to surprise South African supporters with his keen eye for goal as he bagged 10 goals in just 16 starts in his first six months.
In his first full season (2015/16), the All Whites frontman managed 18 goals and nine assists in 32 starts in all competitions, but this has not surprised him.
"No, not myself. I think I've probably surprised a lot of people but I know and believe in my ability, and I guess it helps doing well from when I first arrived," he adds.
"That made it a lot easier to settle in and I enjoy my football. Hopefully I can continue on the up and keep scoring goals."
