AFC Wimbledon playmaker Ethan Chislett has explained why his heart is set on representing the South Africa national team as he continues his meteoric rise in England.
Chislett, 22, left South African shores during his formative years and has since enjoyed an inspirational journey to towards League One in England.

In two years, the mercurial talent his risen from the seventh to the third tier of English football and enjoyed a memorable debut with the Dons with a win over Charlton Athletic in the EFL Trophy group stage on Tuesday.
With a full 90 minutes under head coach Glyn Hodges, Chislett looks poised to play a crucial role for the ambitious English club and despite his current trajectory, he holds no ambitions of representing England one day.

"I was born in Durban, both my parents are South African and we moved over the UK when I was five," Chislett tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"I personally consider myself a South African, my grandad [Gordon] played for South Africa and I would like to continue that legacy of the Chislett name. For me personally, I would always prefer playing for South Africa."

With Chislett, who holds similar traits to Premier League stars James Maddison and Jack Grealish potentially widening the talent pool of coach Molefi Ntseki, he's opened up about what he could offer, should he be considered for the call.
"My technical ability is definitely my strength, I can play as a number 10, off the left-wing and anywhere in the midfield, I'm comfortable," he explained.
"I would say creativity and I how I like to play is with my head and my brain to find pockets of space to hurt the opposition."
Chislett scored nine goals and registered as many assists in 36 games for Aldershot Town during the 2019/20 season.
