Story Behind My Nickname: Sbhamu Sezinyoni

"Long Weekend, Mudemude S'bhamu Sezinyoni, those are my nicknames," Ndlela tells KickOff.

"I liked Sbhamu Sezinyoni better though, Mudemude dubula magazin.

"That's what football commentator Baba Mthethwa used to call me every time I hit the back of the net, Safa yindlala.

"Baba Mthethwa is the one who made it popular though, he was happy to have another tall person in football.

"You know nicknames you get it from people, hence there are those who referred to me as Long Weekend.

"I remember there was this old man who liked calling me N3 the never-ending road.

"I accepted every nickname they gave me, as long as I did my job on the pitch I was happy.

"Nicknames I can say sometimes you inherit them, sometimes people give them to you.

"When I started in football I used to be called Chippa because of Philemon Masinga.

"At Swallows, they even called me Special, the nickname of the legendary Makhubo. I don't know him but I hear he was very tall."
