The 34-year-old winger, whose first move to Europe late in August last year surprised many given his age, had endured a tough stay at the newly-promoted club as he was made to bide his time on the bench, being limited to only 17 league appearances, including just five starts.

Despite their victory, Erzurumspor were relegated back to the second division as they finished 17th with 35 points attained from their 34 matches, which now leaves the veteran midfielder's future in doubt.

Having signed a two-year deal until June 2020, it remains to be seen whether the former Kaizer Chiefs star wll remain with the club or seek greener pasrtures in Europe, or possibly even call time on his 15-year professional career.

For now though, Tshabalala has bid farewell to the Turkish top division, while thanking the club and his own supporters for their encouragement through the course of the season.
