snl24.com/kickoff has learnt that Chippa United are making frantic efforts to keep Norman Mapeza as their coach this season.
This website broke the news on Monday afternoon that Mapeza was set to meet with United boss Siviwe Mpengesi to hand in his resignation letter following irreconcilable differences.

The Zimbabwean mentor was absent at training this morning and former Platinum Stars defender Mbuyiselo Sambu has taken charge in preparation for the league clash against Bidvest Wits on Saturday (20h15).
According to sources close to the Chilli Boys, Mpengesi has invited Mapeza for another meeting today where he hopes to convince the coach to stay.

"Yes, you guys got it correct when you reported that Mapeza was resigning from the club," confirms a source.
"It's due to some confidential issues. The club is trying by all means to convince him to stay. At the moment Sambu is in charge of the training sessions."
