Highlands Park reportedly interested in Daniel Gozar

The Ghanaian is currently the club's leading goalscorer with 11 goals and has attracted interest from no less than two Absa Premiership teams, according to sources.

Gozar's one-year deal with the Bethlehem-based side will only be left with an option when it expires next month.

"Highlands Park did make contact with both Free State Stars and his representatives, but everything had to be put on hold due to this coronavirus," a reliable source tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"The problem is they are not able to meet under one umbrella you know [due to social distancing]. But I'm told they are busy."

Highlands technical director Larry Brookstone confirms that he knows about the player, but also makes it clear that there is nothing concrete at the moment.

"I can't talk about that because at the moment I'm trying to sort out my team to get back and finish the league," Brookstone says.

"I mean I can't be buying players now. People [agents] are phoning me about so many players you know. I can't really comment because I don't know yet what I need and what I want.

"I haven't even discussed that guy [Gozar] with my coach. Yes I know him, but there's really nothing happening, I promise."
