What was your welcome to the league moment?
"It was the Gerald Raphahlela tackle. The one that used to be shown in the intro of the television show called Panasonic World of Soccer on SABC.
"I don't remember he did the tackle against which though.
"Ya Orlando Pirates'Raphahlela, that guy used to scare the hell out of me and Jimmy Kauleza during our time at Free State Stars.
"He would tell you straight, 'My boy I will put you on the wheelchair you will never play football again.
"He would say, you must tell me if you are tired of playing football I will help you retire.
"Those words made me and Kauleza to shiver the whole game.
"The way he was so scary we made sure he didn't even touch us the whole game. We played far from him.
"During the match I called Kauleza to the side and said to him, 'No boy la angeke silunge la.'
"Each time we heard heavy footsteps behind us we jumped. Without looking what was coming."
A player who gave you a hard time when you started out as a professional footballer?
"Still Raphahlela. He was both my welcome to the league moment and a player who gave me a hard time.
"During my two seasons at Free State Stars we lost every game we played against Pirates, we were very afraid of Raphahlela."
