Antonio Conte confirms Juan Cuadrado's Chelsea return

Cuadrado joined the Blues for £23m from Fiorentina after an impressive 2014 World Cup campaign with Colombia, but failed to establish himself in the first-team under former boss Jose Mourinho, spending last season with the Old Lady as he netted five goals and made eight assists in 41 appearances.

Conte admits he's been a long-term admirer of the 28-year-old and revealed the player would be joining the squad for pre-season.

"Juan Cuadrado is a Chelsea player. He will come back very soon. He's in our squad, I'm very happy to have him and train him," said the former Italy boss.

"I wanted him when I was a coach at Juventus and he will come back very soon and train and play with us.

"Now, he's a Chelsea player and he'll stay with us. If something changes you'll know."
