Today marks exactly 10 years since former Kaizer Chiefs maestro Emmanuel Ngobese passed away after collapsing at home in Johannesburg.
'Scara' as Ngobese was affectionately known died at the age of 29 at Charlotte Maxheke Hospital on May 11, 2010 after he collapsed and started to bleed at home, his brother Thabani said at the time.

Ngobese, who suffered from tuberculosis, played for Tembisa Classic, Zulu Royals, Thanda Royal Zulu and United FC amongst during his professional career.

But he is remembered most fondly by Chiefs fans and former teammates like Junior Khanye, who has described him as an arrogant but confident person loved by many people.
"He was an over-confident person and for such was perceived as an arrogant person," Khanye tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"Off the field he didn't spend most of his time socialising with soccer players and he was only close to a few soccer people including 'Grootman' Thabo Mooki and Papi Zothwane.
"Scara was liked by many people, not only Chiefs supporters. He had great taste when it comes to clothing. He was a big fan of Jub Jub and Magesh when it comes to music.
"He was an honest person. If he didn't like something, he would say it. He loved his mother, his family and girlfriend Busi. He believed in God and prayed before every match. He had a big heart and hated to lose a match."

Khanye played with Ngobese under the late great coach Ted Dumitru and won the league together with Amakhosi.
"He was a typically South African football player, the kasi kind of player, a skilful and technically gifted player," Khanye continues.
"He was good at eliminating players. He didn't have speed but was a very clever player. He was very good at stepovers, he could change the gear or pace of the game, and was a great passer of the ball.
"Scara enjoyed playing under Ted Dumitru because he believed in his abilities."
