Pule: It was important for me to make a comeback

Orlando Pirates midfielder Vincent Pule has thanked his teammates and technical team for their support during his spell on the sidelines.

Pule has spent more time off the field last season, due to injuries. The 31-year-old midfielder made his first start in Bucs starting lineup when played against Moroka Swallows in the Soweto Derby on Tuesday. Pirates went on to beat the Dube Birds by 2-0 during the DStv Premiership match.

Pule will be looking forward to starting the match when Orlando Pirates host TS Galaxy at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday.

"I am happy to be back in the team and play regularly and I think it's the most important thing as a footballer. Again, like I said I am feeling good at the moment," Pule told the journalists during the Pirates press conference held on Thursday.

"I have struggled with injuries and injuries are part of the game. As a player you can't say I don't want to get injured, it's part of the game. During difficult times you need support, the players and technical team have given me enough support to come back and make sure I play regularly. The support I got from everyone in the club, I think it was important for me to make a comeback," he added.
