Pirates are in Lusaka to face Zambian champions Zanaco in a 2013 CAF Champions League first round, first-leg tie at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
"No I am not torn between two places," Mbesuma says. "I have just come here to do my work."
This will be Mbesuma's first continental experience against his compatriots since arriving in South Africa in 2004 to join Kaizer Chiefs from Roan united.
Incidentally, Zanaco tried to sign him in 2003 but he opted for a brief loan spell at Power Dynamos that lasted a month before the latter were ejected from the quarter-finals of the defunct CAF Cup Winners Cup.
