Former Mamelodi Sundowns owner and managing director Natasha Tsichlas has revealed for the first time how she convinced the late Alex 'Goldfingers' Tshakoane to leave his police career to join the club.
Tshakoane, the former Sundowns public relations officer, died over the weekend after suffering from a long-term illness.

"Remember he was a policeman, he was part of the security during games," Tsichlas tells KickOff.
"You know when I met Alex, I realised he's got charisma. He was the one with the big voice and that brought him more forward.
"And slowly and slowly he came inside the Stadia [laughs]. He used to stay in Mamelodi during his days as a policeman.
"I remember it was around 1987 or 1988.
"A big shock hey, it's been a long time of course he was sick, but we were hoping he would recover you know.
"You see with Alex we were together as children, Alex, me, Angelo, and many others. And it's very sad to see this happening, it's a shock.
"Together we went through the journey of making Sundowns one of the best teams. His character, his gold rings, and his sense of humour I will never forget. He was a brother.
"He was very important Alex to Sundowns and Sundowns history, and this is the reason he was always next to me. He loved the club.
"Unfortunately, in the last few years, he didn't get the exposure he was supposed to get. He was the heart of Sundowns.
"Part of Sundowns' history is going with Alex, let's face it.
"He was in my children's weddings, my grandchildren's baptism, he was part of the family he spoke for the family in my son's wedding."
