While many clubs often sport well-known brands like PUMA and adidas, a top European club has become the first team to wear a kit by Cristiano Ronaldo's 'CR7' brand as their official kit-maker. Here's a look!
The story
Ronaldo's first professional team Sporting CP have honoured the now-Al Nassr superstar in a major way, as they began wearing a kit that honours the striker's contribution to the club.
The gold and black strip celebrates Ronaldo's last match for the club, which notably came against Manchester United, in a pre-season friendly.

In a statement on the Sporting's official website, it added: "We present to you our new Lion's Skin, inspired by the equipment used in 2003, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the José Alvalade Stadium. A unique jersey, which draws a virtuous triangle between Sporting CP, Cristiano Ronaldo and Nike."
That game on 6 August 2003 against the Red Devils is considered one of the biggest days in the club's history, as Ronaldo impressed so much against the Red Devils that then-manager Sir. Alex Ferguson would immediately call for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's signing.

An open letter written by the Lisbon outfit alluded to the moment, stating: "But also impossible to forget, and which will never fade in the memory of everyone who filled the stadium, was the performance of Cristiano Ronaldo, an 18-year-old boy, who would end up, given the scale of his football, "kidnapped" by Sir Alex Ferguson.
"As they say in football language, he broke them all, he made a fool of some astonished Englishmen who were not prepared for so much talent. An unforgettable night for our CR7, which would end up becoming the best in the world for our pride and enchantment."

According to Goal, the 38-year-old Portugal international, whose full name is Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, was named after former United States president Ronald Reagan, as he was born just a month after the 40th head of state was elected for a second-term.
