From football kits to suits: 5 DSTV Premiership players who clean up well

Football fans are so accustomed to seeing players in their clubs' playing kits so it may come as a shock to them when their favourite players are dressed up, showing an incredible sense of style.

Players in the DSTV Premiership are equipped with unique, skilful footballing abilities that could ignite a crowd. What also sets them a part from the rest of the footballing world is their ability to cultivate a distinct dressing style, bringing an additional little something to their formal or semi-formal attire.

Not enough credit is given to these players who every once in a while provide fans the opportunity to see them in a different element, an element in which they're dressed to impressed.

Given that so many players in the league only clothe themselves in immaculate drip, it is an arduous task picking out players who stand out from the rest. Nevertheless, here are five DSTV Premiership players who make  heads turn when they're dressed up for a fancy event.

5. Ricardo Nascimento

The Brazilian defender who plays his football for Royal AM would have made the club's owner, Shauwn Mkhize, proud with his sleek, all black attire. His black shirt, silky black tie, black pants and belt, and brown shoes to break the look was the perfect choice for the formal event he was pictured at.

Sometimes an all black outfit could make the person wearing it seem like a polarising figure. However, Nascimento's smile ensure that doesn't happen. He is also awarded bonus points for strutting his queen on his arm.

4. Khama Billiat

The 32-year-old Zimbabwean forward may be on the hunt for a new club, but needs no help when it comes to his dress sense. Billiat is pictured looking very smart with his semi formal attire. Evidently, he's wearing a black turtleneck with a pair of black pants and a blue cardigan to match, and break the outfit.

To match the cardigan and complete the semi formal look, the forward has on a sleek pair of high-top sneakers with streaks of light blue to match his cardigan. His ability to pick out such an interesting outfit would make onlookers wonder if he potentially has a career in fashion when he does decide to hang up his boots.

3. Lesiba Nku

More renowned for his on field ability, the new Sundowns winger surprised supporters by displaying his elegant dress sense, coupling his finely tailored suit with a bow tie that perfectly compliments the colour of his suit.

His unique hairstyle also adds a bit of funk to his attire.

2. Andile Mpisane

A good sense of fashion seems to be a trend at Royal AM. Mpisane, the club's chairman and player, shows impeccable style with his uniquely designed suit jacket, black shirt and pants, and trendy boots with an exorbitant-looking pair of sun glasses that complete the look.

The affluent young man couples the outfit with a fresh fade, a luxury car and poses hand in hand with his woman, creating an image that most men would love to emulate.

Topping the list is Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare. The 33-year-old shows an immaculate dress sense on a regular basis, whether his attire is casual, formal or semi formal. He always seems to put his own spin on every outfit he dons. In the image above, he manages to wear a blazer and a matching pants successfully in a semi formal way. The white shirt and the white sneakers makes the outfit look clean. He adds to the outfit by wearing accessories such as his watch, a cap, and a chain.

Regardless of what he's wearing, he always makes sure to accessorise the outfit in any way he can. His ability to pick out different coloured items of clothing that compliment each other is unmatched. Any man would benefit from observing the way he pieces outfits together.
