'We were second to everything' - Ntseki laments second loss

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki admitted his charges were "second to everything" in their defeat to TS Galaxy.

Chiefs lost their second game in three league matches after an own goal by Brandon Petersen handed the Rockets the maximum points.

Ntseki suggested that they were not good enough physically, hence they played second-fiddle to Galaxy throughout the game.

"Very disappointed with the loss, but I can attribute it to two things, we did not look as sharp as we were supposed to be. We were almost second on everything," Ntseki told SuperSport TV.

"Whether in attack we didn't have numbers aggressively in the box, after losing possession we were not aggressive to apply counter-pressing, so I think maybe on the physical side of it we were not very sharp.

"But I think we can always improve on that because we've got another full week for the players to recover. If you look back at the intensity of the game, they were more sharper than us, that is why we were second to everything.

"But I think on the balance of play we applied ourselves in terms of the structure, we just made a mistake that led to the goal but it is something that we can always work on.

Ntseki was asked his thoughts on Amakhosi's start to the season so far, where they have collected only one point in three matches.

"I think it has been up and down, it has been very hot and cold, if you look at the first game we played and we had to play the second game in the league, the first-half we were not as sharp as we needed to be," he added.

"And when you go to the last game we played before this one, we were very much spot on in terms of our plan, in terms of the execution and I think today if you look at how we started, we were a bit shaky because we were not on the ball as much we'd like to.

"But after 15 minutes, you could see us playing more possession game, keeping the ball, making combinations and it's just unfortunate that the few chances we got maybe in the first-half we could not bury them."
