Luc Eymael reveals Free State Stars playing Rwanda's Mukura Victory Sports in CAF Confederation Cup

Stars will make their debut in the continental event after winning the Nedbank Cup last season.

CAF are yet to release the fixtures for the Confed Cup and Champions League, having delayed an announcement on Saturday.

However, Ea Lla Koto already know they will be visiting Mukura at the end of the month.

"It's a team that I know because I was coaching in Rwanda," said Eymael after his side's 3-1 league loss to Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld on Wednesday night.

"It's an artificial pitch. The first leg is there," added the former Rayon Sports FC mentor.

Eymael is mindful his team's African adventure could compromise their domestic ambitions. Stars are eighth on the Absa Premiership table with 13 points from as many games.

"I would like to play in CAF but we are short in points," said the Belgian.

"Unless we do miracles, we beat SuperSport United, beat Orlando Pirates and we are on 19.

"I think (Stars management) will give me authorisation (to focus on CAF) and if we don't get it, they will say focus on the league."
