With the eight quarter-finalists all previous champions, the current African Champions League campaign promises to be one of the most memorable to date.

And with the CAF deciding to change the format from a two-legged final to a once-off clash at a neutral venue, interest has started brewing over where the continental event will take place.

In a statement released by CAF, any potential host will have by Thursday 20 February to submit a bid with the requirements of the stadium, training facilities, accommodation plans and government guarantee the main factors for consideration.

Despite the statement, CAF President Ahmad Ahmad, vice president Constant Omari along with Cameroon legend Samuel Eto'o travelled to Rwanda this weekend.
It's believed that the trio met with Rwanda President Paul Kagame and Rwandese Association Football Federation (FERWAFA) president Jean Damascene Sekamana over hosting the showpiece in Kigali.
The bid winners will host the Champions League and Confederation Cup final, which will take place on 24 and 29 February respectively.
