Orlando Pirates news: Rhulani Mokwena explains UK trip

snl24.com/kickoff earlier today reported that Pirates administrative officer Floyd Mbele was clueless about the tactician's alleged educational trip to Liverpool.

However, he has since explained the motive behind his short visit, which was in fact communicated to club chairman Irvin Khoza.

"I had spoken to the chairman about my trip, but it was just a short visit and I will be leaving tonight and heading back to South Africa," Mokwena told this website from the UK.

The Buccaneers enjoyed some time off during the current international break following their taxing three fixtures in seven days, and are expected to return to duty on Wednesday.

Their next assignment will be against Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout semi-final, for which tickets were sold out in record time, at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban next Saturday.
