Liverpool's 2022/23 potential ins and outs

The Reds enjoyed a largely successful 2021/22 season, which saw them reach three cup finals and win two trophies, in addition to challenging Manchester City for the Premier League title to the very last matchday.

At the back-end of last month, the Merseysiders announced that Fulham youngster Carvalho will arrive at the club on 1 July, while Origi's exit was confirmed after the Reds' last league match of the campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers, after which he was given a proper send-off in front of a cheering Anfield crowd.

More recently, news broke that Sadio Mane is seeking a move elsewhere in search of a new challenge. The Senegal international's most likely destination is Bayern Munich, according to The Athletic.

The 30-year-old has one year remaining on his current deal, and it is reported that Liverpool want at least €50 million (R832 million) for his signature.

It is further claimed that goalkeeper Loris Karius is certain to part ways with Jurgen Klopp's side, while Ben Woodburn's contract is unlikely to be renewed when it expires at the end of this month.

With a number of exits anticipated at Kirkby, the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League runners-up have been linked with a few singings too, one of them being Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni, but they face stiff competition for him from Real Madrid, who are said to already have an agreement in place with the Frenchman.

Another midfielder on the Reds' radar is Borussia Dortmund teenager Jude Bellingham, although it is understood that it would take in excess of £80 million (R1.5 billion) to secure his services.
