Oupa Manyisa replaces Reneilwe Letsholonyane in Bafana Bafana squad

The 23-year-old is on form, and was recently described as "out of this world" by the two-time World Player of the Year Ruud Gullit.

But when Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane announced his squad for the international friendly that will take place Wednesday, August 10, at Coca-Cola Park, there was no room for Manyisa.

However, with Kaizer Chiefs 'Yeye' ruled out with an ankle injury, Manyisa has received the call-up many fans believe he deserved.

"What I can say that everything that happens, happens for a reason,” Manyisa tells snl24.com/kickoff. “In my opinion the national team coach [Pitso Mosimane] knows what he is doing and I’m not worried about being selected or not."

"The most important thing in my career right now is doing well for Orlando Pirates and making the national team is a bonus."

This weekend Pirates will be defending their MTN8 title, in their first match against Santos. Manyisa believes that the Capetonians should not be taken for granted.

"They are a tough team to play against and we must not underestimate them. So whoever takes their chances is going to win the match.

"But I’m looking forward to the match. We are ready because we had a great pre-season playing tough teams like Tottenham Hotspur."
