The Madrid government is reportedly planning on making a new law that will accommodate high-earning individuals such as Kylian Mbappe.

The government of the Madrid region in Spain will reportedly implement a "Kylian Mbappe Law".

It is widely believed that Mbappe will become a Real Madrid player next season after he informed Paris Saint-Germain that he will not be at the club beyond the expiration of his contract in June 2024.

Some Los Blancos stars such as Aurelien Tchouameni and Rodrygo have even hinted at the arrival of the French superstar, who has been playing cat and mouse with the club for several seasons.

While there's no official confirmation that he will join the club, various reports have indicated that he will become the Real's highest-paid star when he eventually arrives.

Given the lofty salary he is reportedly set to pocket, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reports that the government in Madrid will implement a "Mbappe Law", which will reduce certain income taxes for wealthy foreigners.

According to Sky Sports, the 25-year-old earns £171 million (R4 billion) per year at PSG, but he will take a pay cut at Real.

"This will be the most expensive free transfer in history," said Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol in March."The money that Real Madrid would have been paying as a transfer fee, they are basically going to be paying to the player instead. He will be getting a massive signing-on fee - there are reports in Spain that it could be over £100 million. (R2.3 billion)"
