Arsenal are now reportedly pursuing a former Manchester United star for a coaching role at the north London club.

A coaching reshuffle could take place at the Emirates, with reports suggesting that two members of Mikel Arteta's technical staff could leave at the end of the season.

According to ESPN Argentina, the two main assistant coaches at the club, Albert Stuivenberg and Carlos Cuesta, have drawn interest from other teams following their impressive work alongside Arteta in recent seasons.

Stuivenberg is said to be on the radar of Ajax Amsterdam, who have gone through something of a slump since former boss Erik ten Hag left the club in 2022.

Cuesta, meanwhile, is reportedly admired by English Championship side Norwich City, who are currently pushing for a Premier League promotion play-off spot.

As such, the Gunners hierarchy, along with Arteta, are said to be aware of the possibility of losing two important backroom staff members, and have identified ex-Red Devils star Gabriel Heinze, who played with the Gunners boss at Paris Saint-Germain.

The 46-year-old tactician is currently without a job since vacating the helm at Lionel Messi's boyhood club Newell's Old Boys in Argentina in December last year.

Per ESPN, the north Londoners have already held talks with the former United defender, who is understood to also be in the running for another job in Argentina, with top-flight side San Lorenzo.

His appointment, however, is said to depend on whether or not the two current assistants leave.

Asked about the speculation surrounding his assistants in February, Arteta said: "If that's their will? You cannot [stop them]. I wouldn't, no.

"It's very important, and with the staff as well. I think everybody needs to feel that there is a path, there is a development plan for everyone.

"People don't want to do the same thing for three, four, five years you know, and there is a way to incentivise people, to inspire other people, and then to explore."
