Zinedine Zidane's preferred destination has reportedly been revealed, as he looks to get back into coaching after three years.

The Frenchman has had two successful stints with Real Madrid as coach, where he won three UEFA Champions League titles and one LaLiga title.

Zidane left Los Blancos in 2021 and has been linked with a host of clubs, including Juventus, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

However, French publication L'Equipe have reported that Zidane would prefer to take over at Man United rather than Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Erik ten Hag's position as manager at Man United reportedly remains under threat due to a disappointing season, where the club look set to finish outside of the top four.

New co-owner Sir Jam Ratcliffe will be in charge of the footballing decision and he is planning a overhaul in the off-season, but it remains to be seen if Ten Hag will keep his job.

L'Equipe add that Zidane has been keeping an eye on the Red Devils and is more enticed by a move to the 13-time Premier League winners.

Meanwhile, ESPN have reported that Zidane has not been approached by Bayern Munich despite reports claiming that the two parties are in talks.

Former Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen says his spoke to Zidane and claims Old Trafford might not be the best place due to their current situation.

"I would say that the team he had in Madrid was fantastic, and he was prepared from the beginning," Gravesen told Discovery Plus.

"At United the situation is different, it is very difficult to do something with the team that Ten Hag has at the moment."
