After enduring a tough time on the sidelines, striker Sakhile Hlongwa has parted ways with Richards Bay FC.
Hlongwa, who has been struggling with injuries this season, has been handed his clearance after terminating his contract with Richards Bay last week.
The relationship between the Natal Rich Boyz and the former Kaizer Chiefs marksman had deteriorated since last year after being reported to have been forced to foot his own bill to nurse his own injury from a public hospital. Hlongwa joined the Kwazulu-Natal-based side in 2020 from Royal AM.

Hlongwa's manager Mandla Mthembu has officially confirmed that his client has parted ways with the club.
"The player and Richards Bay have reached an amicable decision to part ways.
"Anyway, his contract was coming to an end this season and was not going to renew it,” Mthembu tells KickOff.
"He is currently undergoing rehabilitation for his injury. We're working on something.

"We're waiting for him to recover fully from his injury before we can start talking about his next move.
"He will remain in the PSL next season,” he added.
Richards Bay are also reported to be on the verge of parting ways with another player, Mpho Mathebula, whilst Lucky Mohomi is also on his way out of the Kwazulu Natal outfit.
