Ngezana is doing duty for FCSB of Romania, where he has already played the equivalent of 2,034 minutes through his 24 appearances.

This past weekend was the final round of fixtures in the regular season which sorted out how the top six teams will line up for the championship round.

While FCSB suffered a dead-rubber 4-0 defeat to Rapid Bucuresti. However, heir place at the top was already secured and played this fixture minus Ngezana, who was serving a one-match suspension due to the accumulation of yellow cards.

FCSB will now start the championship play-offs with 32 points, sitting with a four-point cushion over second-placed Rapid Bucuresti.

The championship play-offs – which involve the top six – will start with all points gained from the regular season halved, rounded upwards, and no other records carried over.

With a league title triumph, FCSB will progress to the UEFA Champions League, starting their campaign in that continental competition in the qualifying rounds.

Second and third place finishes also carry tickets to UEFA club competitions.

However, having never won silverware through the seven years that he spent in the first team at Kaizer Chiefs, priority for Ngezana is the league winners’ medal and the next 10 games will determine that.

Should FCSB win the Romanian league, then they will play in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers as early as July and negotiate four rounds if they are to get into the group stage.
