Bafana head coach Hugo Broos admits he is spoilt for choice upfront with strikers Zakhele Lepasa and Lyle Foster both in scoring form ahead of Bafana's friendly against Namibia.

South Africa are set to host Namibia at Orlando Stadium on Saturday as the first of two friendlies to be played in September as part of the preparation for next year's Afcon.

Ahead of the match, Broos finds himself in somewhat of a dilemma with having to chose a starting number nine. Lyle Foster has scored twice in three matches for Burnley in the Premier League – perhaps one of the toughest coemptions in world football.

At home, Lepasa has already reached double figures just eight matches into the season, having scored 10 goals

Mothiba, who returns to the national team for the first time since the 2019 Afcon has also had fine start to his season for Patrick Vieira's Strasbourg in Ligue 1.

The Belgian tactician though, is excited at his options.

"You know if you compare that with two years ago, I have many good strikers for the moment," Broos said at the pre-match press conference.

"You name Lepasa, you name Foster, Mailula also – okay, it's a little bit difficult for him because I looked at the at the squad of Toronto, [Lorenzo] Insigne is there, [Deandre] Kerr, an international player and then another one I don't remember his name, an Italian too who is an Italian international.

"So, it will be very tough for him there [in the MLS] but okay will see what happens with him and I hope that he can play as soon as possible so that we also can count on him.

"It's s true, for the moment, we are a little bit in luxury, all those strikers are also strikers that are scoring goals.

"Foster scores at Burnley, Lepasa - I don't have to tell you, so they they're scoring and this is very important for strikers.

"So, for this game it is not really a problem because okay, again, I took these two games to see some things but I know that I will have to make choices in the future.

"You can't have on 23 players and four central strikers, but I prefer such a situation, then a situation where you have to look and search to find a very good striker, so I'm very happy with it."

Bafana's match against Namibia will kick off at 15:00.
