Following American basketball star LeBron James' recent achievement of becoming the highest-scoring player in NBA history, Liverpool have released a stunning apparel collection in collaboration with the Los Angeles Lakers icon. Here's a look!

The story

The Reds will be hoping that LeBron's fortunes could inspire some luck in their fortunes this season, as they have dramatically struggled this season. They sit 10th on the Premier League table, with a staggering 21 points adrift of log-leaders Arsenal.

However, it seems that their failures in this campaign are just limited to the pitch, as they look pretty sharp in the apparel department.

The release of the Liverpool x LeBron collection may be some exciting news for some Reds supporters and basketball fans, as this is a rare collaboration not just across the two sports but between an icon like LeBron and an esteemed English club like the Anfield team.

The 38-year-old athlete is a known supporter of the club and in the recent game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he previewed the LFC Nike LeBron XX Low Shoe.

The range includes football and basketball jerseys in the Merseysiders' traditional red colour, with the soccer shirt available in a stylish black colourway.

The items also features excellently-styled symobols relating to the English side and the Ohio-born sportsman, including the iconic Liverpool FC crest, Nike’s swoosh logo, as well as LeBron’s crown.

Modelled by Lebron, Andrew Robertson, Fabio Carvalho, Shanice van de Sanden, and Jordan Henderson said, the latter said: “I’m a big fan of LeBron and all he’s achieved to become one of the greatest basketball players in history. It’s great to see the link-up with LFC and to be a part of this exciting collaboration with the club.”

Van de Sanden added: “I’m really proud to be a football player for Liverpool FC and to see this collaboration is very cool. It’s also more than just a collaboration, there’s something behind it: an inspiring message of ‘strive for greatness’.”
