What Happened?

The Atlas Lions carried the hopes of millions when they became the first nation from the continent to reach the semi finals.

This included wins over Spain and Portugal while they finished above Belgium in the group stages. 

One of the key reasons for this was Yassine Bounou who has been at the top of his game for a while now. 

With Bounou gaining prominence, GQ have chosen the 31-year-old for their first cover of GQ Middle East.

Rise of Bounou

The Guardian just ranked the goalkeeper ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo in the best 100 male footballers in the world while he is also in the running to receive the award for FIFA's Best Men's goalkeeper award.
