Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was recently spotted wearing a 'pantsula hat', as it appears that the German tactician is learning a thing or two from Springboks captain Siya Kolisi. Here's a look!

The story

The Reds manager is set to leave the English giants at the end of the season, ending a hugely successful nine-year reign at Anfield. The 56-year-old has also confirmed that he will be taking a one-year break from coaching while he decides what's next for his career.

For South Africans, it seems that one of our own has close allegiance with Klopp, as Kolisi was spotted at the adidas headquarters in Germany on Monday.

In true Mzansi fashion, the former Borussia Dortmund boss rocked a pantsula hat, which is a type of bucket hat that many SA kwaito stars wore back in the day.

Although it's unknown whether the Boks captain gave him some bit of background about the cultural significance of the pantsula hat, Klopp seemed effortlessly cool in it, as he even bent the front part of it, resembling the classic appearance of pantsula dancers who once captivated large audiences.

According to the Daily Mail, Klopp has a personal endorsement deal with the German sportswear brand, which he signed in 2020. Kolisi, meanwhile, is one of the leading faces of adidas, having penned a collaboration deal with the company in 2023.

According to Bizcommunity, the rugby icon said: “I have played in adidas all of my life. I now want to share this incredible moment with all of you. The adidas x Siya Kolisi collaboration is the creation of a remarkable boot.

"The design is inspired by my journey, however, it goes beyond just representing me - it symbolises hope for children from the same background as mine. It serves as a reminder that regardless of the challenges we face, Impossible is Nothing."
