Kaizer Chiefs are now linked with appointing a new head coach.

With extensive talk around Kaizer Chiefs potentially hiring a new coach, many KickOff readers have have had their their say on the managerial dilemma that Amakhosi seem to be dealing with.

The story

Brazilian coach Alexandre Gallo’s name has been mooted in the press amid the Glamour Boys’ disappointing fortunes over the last decade. The tactician is believed to have previously been in contact with the Soweto giants but nothing concrete eventually came out of his meeting with the Chiefs hierarchy.

KickOff readers on Facebook have since expressed their views on his potential appointment, with many suggesting that the club’s problems are bigger than any coach, including Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

“Not even Pep can lift that curse,” says Themba TeeJay Mthembu.

“This is common in football. Shifting of power is never easy to accept, especially for us as fans. Chiefs used to be great but today things are bad. It's just a phase which has no specific duration. Look at Man United. Liverpool stayed 30 years before Klopp came and turned things around,” says Snakhokonke El-zn.

“Bobby will turn him down,” says Foster Foster.

“That club needs to be sold new management, that will be a good start. But it's their legacy and family business, they need to look themselves in the mirror,” says Dee New Chapter.  · “Every season, new coach,” says Tshepo Mapheto.

“They can bring whoever they want, that Du Speed boy will still let him down and cost him his job,” says Letlatsa Khumalo Sniejder.

“Kaizer Chiefs must take all their home games out of Johannesburg,” says Johnson Cena.

“The coach is not a problem, players themselves are the problem,” says Sthole Sipho.

“Chiefs need to release all the players and start afresh,”says Vusi Mavucie Qabela.

“Bring Arthur back, he was on the right track,” says Thabo Monama.

“Leave the Family business alone. Let them destroy the team in peace,” says Kgee Thulani Mthembu.

“Release Keagan Dolly, Kwinika, Khune all the high eaners. Also, the non-performing players like Sithebe, Matlou, Ngcobo, Mdantsane, Mthethwa, Peterson, Gonzalez, Sabelo Radebe. Get quality and deal with selfish players like Ranga and Mmodi,” says Sindiso Wongo.

“Stop trying to control Kaizer Chiefs in the media. Motaung knows what is best for his team,” says Sindiso Wongo

“The problem with this family team is they're stingy. Buy players, please,” says Dumoluhle Mafasa Mpofu.

The controversial coach Luc Eymael recently opened up about his attempts to become Chiefs manager. The Belgian tactician revealed that he did not receive  positive response from the club when he offered his services to them. KO Readers have now weighed in.

“Mxm, Kaizer Junior is worse than Bobby. I expected something positive since he played soccer but the Motsepe Junior is far better than him,” says Nkosie Mzobe.

“Never burn your bridges my coach, you are a good coach however you don't know how to control your temper. Your temper is controlling you to such an extent that you end up saying things you regret later. You are a good coach, honestly speaking,” says Tebogo Silinda.

“Unfortunately, Chiefs won't go with the best candidate, they'll take the cheapest one,” says Buhle Mkhutshwa.

“Chiefs just didn't recognise his ability and his a very good coach for real, there was a time I wanted him to coach Pirates. The type of football he plays is fantastic and good to watch. Chiefs will definitely regret not signing him,” says Madiro P Happy.

“Everyone deserves a second chance since nobody is perfect. So let's forgive this man and allow him back in South Africa again,” says John Mokoena.

“Family Business FC are looking for a ‘Yes Boss’ material in a coach,” says Paseka Patrick Leburu.

“I trust Belgian coaches, look at Broos,” says Mdumise Uyehova.

“This is a good candidate for Chiefs, off the field matters aside but he knows ball,” says Pfano Munzhelele.

“But this one knows he's not wanted in SA, why is he even trying to return,” says Kgabo Clerence.

“He is like a politician campaigning,” says Xoe Ngwenya.

“If Kaizer Chiefs continue the way they do, it's only a matter of time before we say ‘what was once a big team’,” says Ofentse Jabulani

“He must work on his behaviour first,” says Zola Nyamanda.

“He thinks we have forgotten what he did in Tanzania. He must stay away from SA football this one,” says Ngwako Kgaps.
