With Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi having recently been the victim of a brazen hijacking, here's a look at five PSL stars who have fallen victim to the same unfortunate ordeal in recent years.

The Bucs have confirmed that their shot-stopper is now “safe and unscathed” after he was involved in a hijacking on the East Rand on Thursday evening. Police have also revealed that the former TS Galaxy star was with his friends in Thokoza when three unknown suspects approached them and robbed them of their valuables, including cellphones. It’s said that the criminals then left the scene with Buthelezi in the vehicle but he was later set free unharmed. It is the second time that the 25-year-old has experienced a similar accident, as he was also hijacked and stabbed in Soweto in 2022.
