Let's take a closer look at what the readers had to say...

Mamelodi Sundowns are one of the favourites to win this year's CAF Champions League competition and one of the perks would be a trip to Saudi Arabia for the FIFA Club World Cup in December.

Former Downs coach, Pitso Mosimane, is currently working there, and managed to take the club to this tournament after their 2016 CAF Champions League triumph.

Sundowns are the favourites to represent Africa in Saudi Arabia this year, as they're the in-form side on the continent so far this season, spending over R100 million to aid their push for African supremacy.

Fans responded extensively on the "Saudi trip at stake for Sundowns this year" story, with one saying that the eventual winner of this year's CAF CL will come from Sundowns' group with Al Ahly:

"Sundowns spends 50 million not just to win the paultry 15 millions from the PSL, but to try to win Caf Champions league (50+million), Super League (102 Million) and Club World Cup (150+millions). We aim for the stars, we are not SSU and only condemned to this farmers league.

"Our motto is literally 'The Sky is The Limit' which says it all. Stan Matthews can’t compare himself and his SSU to us. Completely different levels. They aim for 15 million, we aim for hundreds of millions," says user896689.

"The eventual winner of this competition is definitely going to come from this group," says Slimtony7.

"Mamelodi Sundowns will participate in the Club World Cup without fail as from 2025. Sundowns mean business when it comes to football. Preparations are done way before any tournament can start. It is a University of football.

"Even those who played football in the 50s, 60s,70s, 80sand 90s have never seen a team as well oiled as Sundowns FC, for as many years as calculated.

"The truth is the international standard put at the club by president Patrice Motsepe may God bless our nation. They are delivering in the field and in the market," says lombosngoape.

"Just forget it, it won't happen, they are not going anywhere. This team won the Champions League in 2016, if I'm not mistaken, after that they failed to reach final until now and remember, they were the most spending team in PSL transfer market through those years. Instead, a team that was banned from signing players managed to reach final," says Sakhi92.

"Have you checked how much Al Ahly spent in the last two transfer windows before you say Sundowns spent the most money compared to other African teams, Pyramids in Egypt buy a player for 4 million US dollars," says mogaleramolotja.

Read: Zwane opens up on Sithebe's struggles at Chiefs

Arthur Zwane has shed some light on former AmaZulu midfielder Sithebe's initial struggles since signing for Kaizer Chiefs.

Sithebe made his third consecutive star for Chiefs in their Nedbank Cup victory over Maritzburg United, after he impressed as a substitute against Sundowns - which justified his starts against TS Galaxy and Royal AM after that.

Zwane stated that he knew Sithebe would struggle a little bit and he's not the only one who has at the Glamour Boys this season.

Here's how the readers responded on the "Zwane opens up on Sithebe's struggles at Chiefs" story:

"Players of today are just not as good as players we used to have. It is not only Sithembe that is poor. Most of them cannot even cross the ball well into the area, cannot shoot on target. I think these players do not work on their own weaknesses without team training because if they did, they could improve individually.

"Sundowns does not have any top class players, non of them can play in the English league. They are good enough for the PSL only," says Khothakhosi.

"You dropped him for no reason in the first place, I can say you are responsible for killing his confidence," says khosilannete0.

"Average of the average players this one, nothing wow about him. At Sundowns he could practice with MDC team. He offers a fraction of what Mkhulise, Domingo, Allende can do," says His Majesty Yellow PSL Beast.

"I knew way back that Sithebe will be a perfect fit at the club," says Danito 4 Life.
