Let's take a closer look...

What's the story?

Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has made a plea to fans and the media to not compare their Cameroonian striker Souaibou Marou to Kaizer Chiefs' Christian Saile Basomboli.

Both foreign ballers made their way to SA in during the January transfer window with Saile already notching up three appearances for the Glamour Boys in the DStv Premiership and the Nedbank Cup.

Ncikazi mentioned that it's unfair to compare Saile and Marou, because they both come from two completely different environments - Saile arriving from an English-speaking country/club in Zambia, and Marou arriving from his French-speaking country, Cameroon.

In the "Ncikazi urges fans to not compare Souaibou to Chiefs star" story, the former Lamontville Golden Arrows coach blamed the media for creating this type of pressure.

Here's how the readers responded:

"It's a Soweto Messi and Ronaldo version," says Inbox Vat Alles.

"So the guy will only play when he starts to understand English? People always say soccer is a universal language, or you signed a cow? now you are making excuses as to why the cow is not grazing at Mayfair fields?" says Dawanadserialwinner.

"Ncikazi, please be professional. Concentrate on your job and forget about the media. Your job is to train the players and not listen to the media," says ngwanamoshate.70.

Andile Jali's contract at Mamelodi Sundowns is set to expire at the end of the season and Orlando Pirates legend, Benedict Tso Vilakazi believes that the midfielder is being phased out by his club.

Tso believes Sundowns' delay in offering Jali a contract isn't caused by the player's age or money but feels that Jali is being slowly moved on and compares his situation to Hlompho Kekana.

In the "Vilakazi believes Jali to suffer same fate as Kekana" story, Tso urges Jali to start thinking about life after football.

Here's how the readers responded:

"Players come and go. AJ is good player, should Sundowns not give him a new contract. He'll be free to join any team of his choice, good luck to him," says Rodent trap.

"He can go to another team, Teko Modise did that, Tebogo Langerman, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Leonardo Castro and those players played for Sundowns more years than Jali, who's only played three seasons..." says Dawanadserialwinner.

"His contract is coming to an end, he can still sign for any team that wants him, he does not need go ahead from Sundowns. With Kekana, it is different, he was offered a non-playing role and refused. He is back on the roll now. This is a bitter view from our legend," says ngobeninicolaas112.
