Let's take a look at what the readers had to say...

KO Comments

Kaizer Chiefs have been drawn against Motsepe Foundation Championship leaders Casric Stars in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16.

The club has a quite the history against lower-league opposition in the NBK Cup, losing to TS Galaxy in the 2019 final and crashing out against Richards Bay two years ago, to name a few upsets Amakhosi have experienced in this competition.

On the "Chiefs out to avoid another Nedbank Cup embarrassment after last 16 draw" story, a reader is sure that history could repeat itself for the Glamour Boys:

"The list is endless, I am scared history will repeat itself," says ngwanamoshate.70.

"At least they'll have opportunity to play one or two more games for Pep Zwaniola to test his c0ws. As for the cup, the Goliath of SA football is holding a key to the cabinet," His Majesty Yellow PSL Beast.

"Kaizer Chiefs is already used to getting the stick from all these small clubs, and it's no big issue really. One of those small clubs, Sundowns, have so far enjoyed more of beating us lately, and we move on," says Danito 4 Life.

Sticking with Amakhosi, the club is said to be monitoring Nigerian defender Denis Nya.

The 26-year-old plies his trade in Zambia for Zesco United and was watched by Chiefs scouts during a league game against Power Dynamos, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Nya reportedly displayed a commanding performance in the game and the Soweto Giants are to be keen on the Naija baller.

Here's how the readers responded on the "Chiefs keen to sign highly-regarded Nigerian defender" story:

"Mangethe, hhayi bo, where is Neymar Canhembe and Abrahamse (Ethiopian attacker)? Should you be trusted on this one as well?  The above two are very good and attack minded," says Boss Ngida.

"If he is good, Chiefs must sign him. We need to sure up the defence because it's obvious Mathoho is leaving and this will further weaken our defence. A solid team is built from the back.

"There was a time we won the league just on the basis of a strong defence. Dove at central defence is just a stop gap measure, though he has done reasonably well. I would rather have him at left back. The other central defenders, to tell the truth, I don't trust them and so does the team hence the intention to sign more defenders," says gsithole.

"Chiefs scouts must be Kalusha Bwalya and Emy Casaletti only. They can't scout anywhere else in Africa other than in Zambia, or overseas rejects," says siyaz.
